We are Private, Non-Partisan, Group of individuals who aim to promote STEM and Education wherever we can. Our core objectives are as follows.
Our Objectives
1) Inclusivity and Equity:
DSEA is a beacon of inclusivity, transcending boundaries of color, creed, and gender. We firmly believe that education is a universal right, and we welcome all who seek to learn. We are non-partisan, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive without discrimination.
2) Global Education Advancement: Our commitment extends to the farthest corners of the world, from the majestic Himalayas in Nepal to the historical heart of Turkey, and from the cradle of civilization in Iraq to the resilient communities of Syria. We tirelessly promote education and STEM learning, recognizing them as catalysts for progress and prosperity.
3) Interdisciplinary Collaboration: DSEA champions the spirit of collaboration across diverse STEM disciplines. We understand that the most profound breakthroughs occur at the intersection of knowledge. Thus, we encourage and facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Douglas Evans
Douglas Evans
- Co-Founder and Engineering Educator
Douglas is a dedicated co-founder of our organization and a passionate engineering and technology educator. With over 35 years of experience in education and volunteering, he lends his immense knowledge to empower youth and communities through STEAM.
As an education consultant and Lecturer of engineering, electronics, and mechanical engineering in Scotland, Douglas brings his expertise to all of our programs. He has contributed greatly to the success of key initiatives including our Books and Bears campaign bringing literacy and comfort to children in Turkey.
Douglas actively manages many of our education outreach projects in the Middle East. His commitment to uplifting youth and under resourced communities through STEAM education is truly admirable. We are grateful for his leadership, enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge that inspires young minds.
When he's not volunteering his time to further our mission, Douglas enjoys sharing his passion for engineering and technology with his students in Scotland. His career and contributions demonstrate that STEAM education can truly change lives. We are honored to have Douglas as a valued co-founder and leader.
David Evans
David Evans
- Co-Founder and Interdisciplinary Innovator
David is an accomplished engineer and forward-thinking co-founder of our organization. With an eclectic background spanning aerospace engineering, archaeology, design, project management, and game design, he brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective.
As an author, British Army veteran, and tireless advocate for STEM education, David has forged his own inspiring path. He channels his diverse expertise into fostering innovative collaborations bridging technology, creativity, and real-world problem solving.
Currently, David oversees many of our STEAM education initiatives, coordinating impactful outreach projects throughout the Middle East. He is passionate about empowering youth, sparking curiosity, and opening access to STEM opportunities for underserved communities worldwide.
In addition to his work with us, David has been involved with aerospace engineering, archaeology, media, simulations, foreign aid, NASA projects, CubeSats, photovoltaics, and even the occasional TV program!
David's career is a testament to the power of an interdisciplinary approach and the importance of making STEAM education accessible to all. We are privileged to have him as a leader and change-maker furthering this mission.
